Our History

It is our pleasure to have you visit the Hilltop Schools' website, which presents an overview of the schools’ facilities, activities, focus areas and opportunities. The activities range from academic, extra-curricular, excursions, to fun events.

Our aim is to to build a confident future generation that is God-fearing, compassionate and capable of contributing to the development of an egalitarian, just and successful society.

Hilltop Schools was established in 1992, and it now comprises Nursery, Kindergarten, Primary and High School. The Nursery/Primary School is situated on a purpose-built site in a quiet area of Edjeba, conducive for teaching and learning process.

Hilltop High School is situated on its own campus, in another quiet area of Edjeba, a 5-minute walk from the Nursery/Primary School.

Hilltop Schools is renowned for high educational standards, moral discipline and integrity, making it one of the leading schools in Warri Metropolis. Since the school started operations 32 years ago, the success of our graduates, who have become professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, lecturers around the globe make us proud.

The excellent performance of pupils in external exams bears testimony to the quality of education and discipline for which Hilltop School is noted. The Ministry of Education, both at Local Government and State Levels, continue to commend the school on its performance.

This performance is due to the commitment and competence of teaching and non-teaching staff, and parents who continue to support the school. The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of the school is very supportive, and has developed a close working relationship with the school management. During the academic session, parents participate in the school Open Forum, which has become popular for its effectiveness in facilitating engagement between parents and teachers.

Our Purpose

The Vision of Hilltop Schools is to bring a step change to the standard of education in Nigeria, using Hilltop Schools as a model, through a deeper understanding and revelation of the power of God, and His purpose for mankind.

Our Core Values (HTI)

Honour (H) - We believe that honour is a force, and we treat each person with a level of value and respect that empowers us to take the role of servant-hood in the relationship.

Truth (T) - We believe that God’s truth has the power to set people free, and we do everything in our power to remain faithful to His truth: in thought, in word, and in deed.

Integrity (I) - We adhere to biblically-based moral and ethical principles, and maintain these principles both in public and in private. The students of Hilltop Schools are taught to imbibe these principles through the personal examples of its management and staff.
